I'm Dewi Spence, fitness trainer, healthy lifestyle coach, and blogger. 

I am a life-long health and fitness enthusiast, and I love inspiring, teaching, motivating, guiding and supporting others to adopt active and healthy lifestyles.​

I design fitness training and lifestyle plans and programs that focus on body fat reduction, strength and lean muscle definition, and cardiovascular and metabolic fitness. 


I train individuals and groups, and I also write a weekly e-newsletter and blog on the fitness and health topics that people ask me about the most.

My program success is based on an efficient, effective training system that I customize for each client.  

 

This encompasses goal assessments, fitness testing, full-body functional fitness and metabolic conditioning training sessions.

 

The synergistic combination of result based training with nutritional guidance and proven personalized lifestyle strategies, enable my clients to make practical and sustainable changes, achieve real results, and experience lasting change.

ABOUT MY TRAINING STYLE
Here is What You Can Expect from a Training Session With Me...

My training style is dynamic, multi-modal, and responsive to my clients abilities and needs.  My instructional style is active, demonstrative, attentive, and client focused; I provide visual, verbal, and kinesthetic cues and feedback for maximum training effectiveness.

Training sessions are progressively challenging and incorporate circuits, drills, and short burst, high intensity intervals.  Workouts consist of athletic movements that incorporate varied strength, cardio, plyometric, agility, and balance exercises.

 

I start and train each client as an individual by meeting them where they are.  My program takes a client from whatever condition they are in, and starts to build a solid base for fitness with a starting focus on core strengthening, improved joint and muscle mobility, and balance.

Dewi Spence gets clients results in less time so they can enjoy and live a full life

I believe that building fitness can be made fun for anyone.  I also know that being fit is an important part of being healthy and that good health, enables anyone to lead a better, more fulfilling life.

 

My training philosophy is that efficiency is king, and that when it comes to exercise, less can often be more; Like you, my clients have full lives and things they want to do and enjoy outside the gym, so I get them results without requiring that they exhaust themselves exercising for hours every day.

 

That said, healthy nutrition patterns and lifestyle habits underpin the success of any exercise training program.  There are strategies that work and those that just don’t.  I don’t push nor endorse restrictive diets and my clients achieve results without deprivation.   

 

There is a science to fat loss, and there is also an art to applying that science in ways that are practical for the average person. 

 

I teach my clients how to eat to achieve fat loss, and to retain and build lean muscle.  Just as importantly, I provide customized solutions for them to successfully put this information into practice based on their lifestyles.
